Nonkilling E ho'opololei

Hi! I was wondering if you could help out with a brief Hawaiian translation of the entry on nonkilling [1]. It doesn't need to be whole thing: the first paragraph (or even the first sentence) would do! It's quite significant to have this entry in Hawaiian as the concept was born in the Islands and the Center for Global Nonkilling is also based in Honolulu! Kurów E ho'opololei

Could you please write a stub http://haw.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kur%C3%B3w - just a few sentences based on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kur%C3%B3w ? Only 3-5 sentences enough. Please.

PS. Article about Kurów is already on 166 languages. If you do that, please put interwiki link into English version. If your village/town/city hasn't on PL wiki, I can do article about it. (I'm first author of requests) Pietras1988 TALK 08:48, 9 'Apelila 2007 (UTC)

Hawaiian MediaWiki messages imported into Betawiki E ho'opololei

Hi Kalanimoku. I see that you have contributed to the messages in the namespace MediaWiki. Thank you for that. As Hawaiian did not yet have any generic messages in MediaWiki (only on this wiki), we imported the messages from Special:Allmessages into betawiki:. Betawiki also supports the translation of messages for 117 extensions, with over 1,600 messages. I would like to invite you to join the Betawiki community and help improve MediaWiki localisation for the languages you are able to contribute to.

If you have any further questions, please let me know on my talk page on Betawiki. We will try and assist you as much as possible. You can also find us on the Freenode IRC network in the channel #mediawiki-i18n where we would be happy to help you get started.

Thank you very much for your attention and I do hope to see you on Betawiki soon! Cheers! Siebrand@Betawiki 00:16, 17 Kekemapa 2007 (UTC)Reply

Account E ho'opololei

Wow, I didn't even realize I was editing under this name! I recently did the unified login thing, but regrettably forgot to have my username Kalani renamed to Kalathalan. I didn't even realize I had signed up under this username on this Wikipedia.

I'll be going back to editing on this username until they come out with a way to attach this username to my unified login. Kalani [walaʻau] 05:43, 29 Mei 2008 (UTC)Reply

I just realized that the username Kalathalan existed because of my global account. I've requested deletion of my global account and renaming of this account (Kalani) to Kalathalan, at which time I'll re-merge my accounts and begin editing under User:Kalathalan. Ka unuhina (2) E ho'opololei

Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge. That’s what we’re doing.
Kuhi i ka honua i hā‘awi ‘ia ai ka po‘e āpau i ka ‘ike kanaka noa āpau. ‘Oia kō mākou hana.

Well, I'm not familiar with the passive/imperative construct or whatever it's called, so I can't comment on that. As for "ka po‘e āpau" and "ka ‘ike kanaka noa āpau," I'm wondering whether it's ka or . Something's telling me it's , but I'm not sure. I'll have a look at my Hawaiian 1 papers to see if they'll help me (if I can find the right ones :P).

Other than that, I'd say it's maika‘i, based on my knowledge of ‘ōlelo Hawai‘i :) Aloha, Kal (e walaʻau) 08:27, 1 Iune 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: i ko? E ho'opololei

That's what I thought, but looking "ko" up in the online dictionary showed kō as the o-class possessive marker, which I thought was wrong based on my lessons. But since it is the dictionary, I had to check myself. :P Kal (e walaʻau) 07:44, 12 Iune 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ah. Kal (e walaʻau) 00:13, 13 Iune 2008 (UTC)Reply
